following the launch of the McLaren 570S Track Pack, the British firm has now made the Spider available with the same £17,160 optional extra.
Designed for customers who want to use their 570S Spider for occasional track use, the Track pack sheds 33kg, gains a louder exhaust and special carbon fibre interior. However, the 570bhp 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine remains untouched.

The Track pack sees changes to the exterior too with a dark palladium roof and lightweight 10-spoke forged alloy wheels added to mark it out. The new alloys alone help shed 15kg over the conventional car.

Inside, customers can choose between six different lightweight interiors, each one covered in Alcantara. Carbon fibre has also been added to door inserts, tunnel sides, extended gearshift paddles, steering wheel spokes, door and lower centre console.
Other changes include carbon fibre seats, saving 13kg over the conventional seats, a carbon black alcantara steering wheel and the use of the McLaren Track Telemetry (MTT) system. The MTT system stores lap times and sector splits for track driving as well as a post drive analysis and graphical plots showing vehicle speed and times.
